12 days till blast off!! My oh my how the time has flown. We are in full preparation mode, bumming items off the parents and purchasing things, from packs of baby wipes to costco-sized bags of quinoa to bottles of Imodium. One of the most well purchased items for the trip so far has to be the awning from The Bus Depot, a sweet hippie website featuring VW van parts. A practice run proved it to be super light weight and easy to set up!! Im pretty excited because it feels like we added another room to the van. Life in a van can be quite luxurious, haha!! But I am starting to feel that we will never be completely prepared, no matter what we have stowed away or practice setting up. And you know what? That's half of the fun!
The So-Long-Portland party for tomorrow is going to be awesome! Rogue brewery had their monthly garage sale and we scored two, yes two kegs. Get ready to drink some delicious brew!! The beer is so good that we had to hire a pit bull to guard it from party crashers. Ha!

ReplyDeleteI just had to tell about my new favorite item purchased for the trip. A "Go girl" that allows a lady to take a gentleman-style pee standing up. It. is. awesome. I cant wait to use it, though I might need some practice, haha!
